I finally got a van!

I was lucky to buy a sportsmobile locally! Picked up a 2003 Eb27 with a cruiser top. I would have perferred a layout with less seating but the hard top creates a lot of storage.

The seller disclosed that a leak was present. Water will dribble on the drivers knee when turning right after a heavy rain. So I get to recaulk the top.

I have a question about this black trim. Does sportsmobile caulk under the trim? I wasn’t sure if caulking around the top part of the black trim is a good idea.

Sorry for sideways pics.

Coathook.
We hang a garbage bag on one and a laundry bag on another.

Let me know what you find out about caulk on top of the black seam. We caulked the gutter up to black seam, but have the same question for the upper edge of the black seam.

Open them both at the same time and the cruiser top ejects from the van. Only use in an emergency.

Thanks Herb, but what about caulking the black seam on both sides? No prying, no opening up.

Herbs comment was a joke.

I have 7 of those hooks around the van. Thought they might be something more specialized. I’m glad o have more then enough spots to hang crap.

I removed this plate on the black trim. If I don’t find the answer I’ll seal both sides. On my airstream I applied caulk to the windows using a oral baby syringe. It allowed me to place a fine bead very precisely with little waste.

Yes, coathook. But they don't work too well sideways. I'd suggest mounting yours vertically ;-)

We hang our towels and washcloths on them to dry, mostly.
