Any chance you could build your own? For 65k you could create the optimum layout for you and yours. We looked at countless vans: custom, diy and commercial. None felt right. We finally ended up building our own and just today, 11/27, reached the end of our 6th month on this trip. Every night was spent in the van. Not sure when we'll wrap up this trip.
Ours is not like any other floorplan we've seen. It works perfectly for us.

In Boise too

Other folks have already posted a lot of great suggestions and issues to consider. But I am here in Boise as well, so if you and the family want to come by some time and check out Moby, our 2010 E350 SMB just let me know. There are plenty of Sprinter style vans in town, but few “classic” Fords.

OK, technically this checks very few of your boxes. But it does check a few: low mileage, AWD (could be nice compromise on mileage etc, all wheel drive is plenty for snowy roads and most fire roads), price seems nice would leave you a lot to equip it how you want and consider a trailer / storage pod as an addition (leave the pod in camp when you drive around and explore). And, well, it exists and as of 11:30AM this morning hadn't been bought by someone else

It's a local 5B plate, 788 is the Hailey prefix, saw it at the ski area base parking lot, sorry only the one picture but remarkable lack of "chill" in the parking lot given we have decent skiing given it's still November and *we have something to do* during a pandemic.
