Looking forward to exciting new adventures!

Hello! We are Chris & Heather O'Donnell residing in Tulsa, OK. Recently acquired a 2001 E-350 SMB. It is not 4WD but we are not super extreme boondockers so that's okay with us.

We have spent the last two months or so doing small upgrades and getting to know the van by spending nights in our driveway on the weekends. Our neighbors think we are crazy, but that's ok. Looking forward to a trip that is longer than an overnight stay soon.

Eventually looking to add an inverter and solar setup to be more self sufficient. So glad to have the forum for ideas, knowledge, and advise.

Welcome. Lots of good info here. Lots of it buried deep, years and years old. Search, read, share and enjoy.

Kindred spirits! I did the same after I got mine home...to this day every time I see it in the driveway I swear it sends subliminal invitations coaxing me to "just go".

I still do that. Is that weird?

More than once my daughters (now age 3 and 4) have asked to stay in the van at night. Last time we obliged it got down to 24deg w/ no heater (preheated w/ a Mr. Buddy, but no desire to leave that running while we slept). They slept fine under a down comforter, but mom and dad dragged everyone inside at sunrise. Of course, now that the heater is installed... (Dad-tested already, of course!)

In any case, welcome to the forum!
