I was out there at (exceptionally) high tide Sunday, no creek crossing at all. The beach was tore up big time (but out in the dunes was surprisingly compacted) and both the Grand Ave and Pier Ave ramps had about 18" of standing salt water at the bottom. I've watched BIG trucks get swept out to sea before, and made a few crossings that I should have never attempted. With the local reservoirs back near capacity, we'll see what this winter brings!
I've been taking a van load of rc cars out there more frequently... So when are we going to have a SMB forum meet up at the dunes?
