New member from the great state of Idaho

Hello everyone I’m new to this forum and looking forward to reading many interesting threads that will provide a wealth of information.
I’m well into my senior years and social media has never been something that I have been comfortable being a part of. But I stumbled on SMF while searching for information pertaining to my van, so here I am - a newbie!
I’ve had my Quigley 2006 E350 since new and it has gotten me everywhere I wanted to go and I’ve only had it towed twice! Once when it wouldn’t start because of something in the HPOP and the most recent was the vacuum pump failure. Knowing about that vp and no brakes when it fails scares me to death.
Anyway enough for now, I hope everyone out there that reads this is well and living their dream.

Yep - Know that helpless feeling too!

Very fortunate it didn't happen going down any type of steep grade.

Welcome aboard.

Welcome from another potato head!

I lost my vp going 65 mph right in front of a 30 mph corner on highway 55 in the canyon just before cascade. Needless to say, there was some pucker factor. Got all the passenger side tires in the small section of dirt between the pavement and the payette river. Including the trailer. I don’t recommend it to anyone, lol.

Thanks for the welcoming I believe I’ve seen your rig out and about.
Your experience with vp failure only adds to my deep concerns, before long I will pursue the possibilities of hydroboost. Can’t imagine going down White Bird grade with zero brakes.
Right now I’m waiting for Corwin to call and say it’s ready after a very long visit - they took forever to get on it.
