I have owned several Advanced 4WD (Salt Lake City) conversions, like 45 years in van conversion, all have driven great, basically same as a Quigley and around $12K drive in and drive out. We also have a shop here in Durango, (5.5 hours from you) that have done several Ujoint conversions for locals. They are called Built to Last, they have an excellent local reputation. I personally don't see the point on getting too crazy with a 13klb RV, there is a point of no return for more money spent, you are not going rock crawling in a rig that heavy and big. Best of luck

If you read through the build photos on Ujoints website you will see several references to Built to Last conversions. I just dropped off my buddy's 7.3 excursion a few days ago for some work, have used them for years. best of luck

Whatever you decide I HIGHLY recommend you try to drive (or ride in) one of the conversions BEFORE plopping down $xxxxx - there are significant differences in on and off road ride comfort.

Thanks - will do. It would be at least 6-8 months before any of these places have an opening anyway. I'm heading down to Baja next month, so I'll do a little driving in the sand close to camp to see how it does. Baja and the fact that we get a fair amount of snow here in Flagstaff is why I'm considering 4wd.

steering is too heavy

Hey guys, I have a wonderful 2009 Ford E350, but I'm having a problem, its steering is too heavy for me. I have reduced strength in my arms and it's definitely the hindrance.

Does anyone know of a way to make the steering lighter?

TY.
PS.Sorry if this isn't the right place to post.: p1:
