New owner excited to build

Hey there. Just picked up a 2009 E350 XL Superduty. 500 miles on the factory rebuilt motor. It was FILTHY inside, but already totally gutted. It's all a little overwhelming where to start, and where to go, but I'm super excited to get to it.

Just about finished with the cleanup, attached pics are the "before". Will start a thread of the build. Hopefully I'll be able to help new folks and get great ideas from the elders!

It takes alot of research and time to do it right.
And if you get 10% done of your goals each day, you are right on track.

Welcome, you're going to have fun.

It looks like you have some rust. Before you get too far into things, pull up the floor mats in your cab to see if the floor pan is rusty. My E350 was from the midwest and it had significant floor pan rust/rot from road salt. Here's a link to a thread on how I repaired mine:

Yep, pulled up the front floor matt's and all was good, other than being absolutely filthy! We cleaned all the rust and coated the whole floor with rust protection. They don't really salt the roads in my area, luckily.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to update where I'm at. It's been a ton of work so far, but last night we got the floor insulation in and today I'm about to start cutting the plywood for the floor.

That's awesome you're in Beaverton. I'm always down to hook up too. I have basically no idea what I'm doing, so any insight is much appreciated!
