New owner/member 2007 e-150 chateau

Hi all, I just purchased a 2007 e-150 chateau 5.4L van with 68,000 original miles. It does not have a sportsmobile conversion. It currently has four captains chairs with a bench seat/bed in the rear from the factory. I’m traveling to pick the van up on Thursday and drive back to Wisconsin. My first modification is going to be a pair of sportsmobile swivel seat bases for the driver and passenger seats. I’ll post more photos once I pick up the van but for now here are two photos of the undercarriage was which is one of the reasons why I decided to purchase this particular van. I look forward to being a part of sportsmobile community.

Welcome! My first van was a 1990 E-150 with a Mark III raised roof conversion package and a 5.0 EFI. I miss that van.

Contact "1der" on this forum. He sells the swivel seat bases and can ship it to your door. Just fyi, the swivel seat bases do not work on power seats, so if your driver's seat is power you'll either have to stick with the oem base or replace it with a non power seat to convert to a swivel base.

Welcome! I second the 1der swivel bases. I have one for my passenger seat and it is a game changer!

Hi all! Thank you so much for the posts! I pick up the van on Thursday and I’m excited and thankful to be able to purchase it and travel south to pick it up. Thank you for the tip on the swivel seats, I haven’t confirmed yet if it has power front seats but I’m optimistic they are non-power seats. I’ll post a few more pictures of when I pick up the van but for now here’s one from the sellers website.

I found a few items in a local junk yard today for my van! My e-150 has a 60/40 side door with one of the windows being a factory pop-out. I lucked out at the junk yard today finding a pop out window with factory window trim that wasn’t cracked or broken just a bit sun faded! I almost managed to find a pair of rear pop out windows, one of which also had factory window trim which has some wear on one of the edges but it’s not broken and no cracks! I got these parks along with all the parts needed to re-install the windows/window trim into my van for $125.00!

I also stumbled across what appears like it could be an original Ford Econoline Sportsmobile. It was really overgrown around the van but I took a few pictures of the van to share.
