Not new to camper vans and Quigley 4x4's, but just purchased a 1999 E-350 Quigley 4x4 7.3L diesel Sportsmobile and hoping to engage with the crowd here that seems very knowledgeable, fun, and wise! I sold my low mileage 7.3L diesel cargo van to a gentleman that has plans for it. I needed something more turnkey to ship to Maui that has the top installed without having to wait even though I like tinkering with things. Currently waiting for an Agile RIP kit and Aluminess Bumpers to be installed then it's going on the boat to Maui!
Is there a wait time to allow the thumbnail photo to show up under your name in posts? Haven't quite figured out how to make that visible. Looking forward to sharing ideas with members here!
Congrats and welcome. Sounds like a nice van, some might say unicorn. Would be nice to see
For the thumbnail photo, that is an avatar.

Loved living in HI and visiting Maui. Never lived on Maui though.

Thank you for the welcome and help with the Avatar Chris! I'm new to the site here so that helps. Maui is a beautiful place for sure. I'm here for awhile working but have been hesitant to bring it here knowing there are so many places to explore on the mainland and back home in Montana!
We lived in HI for 12 years (Big Island). We tent camped on Maui several times. Unless something very unlikely has happened publicly available campsites on Maui are extremely, extremely limited.
I recommend that you consider / investigate that before paying for shipping the vehicle... maybe two ways eventually.
Or maybe you plan to live in it while working there.
Thank you for the comments you all! Believe me I am really reconsidering the thought of bringing it over here due to the cost of shipping, lack of campsites (although many people find ways of getting around that and there is quite a van rental market here). I have actually thought of living in it short term due to the super high cost of rent and real estate here! Sportsmobile forum is a great community with plenty of knowledge, exchange of ideas, and witty entertainment! We need to have a Sportsmobile rally somewhere on the mainland!
