Newbie From Utah

Hey! It's about time I joined and posted in this forum.

My girlfriend and I bought a used 2013 Ford E-350 with an Advanced 4X4 Systems kit installed last July. We love it so far. This van started out it's life as a crew hauler to commute from Northern Utah to the oil fields of North Dakota so she has lots of miles (80,000 when we bought her), but she looks and drives like new. The previous owner kept all the seats and carpet well protected with seat covers and floor mats. You can see our old van in the background.

So far, We've added an aluminess side ladder and thule roof rack. Here is my stepson helping me install the ladder.

I also removed the 4th row seat and built a temporary cheap bed/platform in it's place that fits our yeti cooler perfectly with a couple compartments for a subwoofer, tools, emergency supplies, etc. Yes, that's a 6" memory foam mattress that is almost as comfortable as the mattress in our bedroom. We plan on installing a CCV high pop top this fall with a fan, solar, and a roof rack, remodeling the interior with a sink, stove, propane, etc., and changing gear ratio to 4.10. Someday I'll get around to doing a winch, front and rear bumpers, fender flares, and diff lockers.

We love to go on crazy adventures and pull our tent trailer.

I also love riding motorcycles and playing bluegrass music.

I am a beer connoisseur and I brew my own and I usually give most of it away. When I'm not out on an adventure, I am a Designer at 3-form. My girlfriend and I have 4 kids between the 2 of us. 17, 15, 14, and 12 years old.

Other than that, I'm a pretty boring guy.

This must be the best intro ever. Welcome to the gang.

You share my 3 biggest passions, beer, bluegrass and buses (I know, vans)

Glad to have you along!

Welcome aboard ! Given your interests mirror several of mine (Bikes, beer, bluegrass and backroad camping ;-) and I've been in SLC for over 30 years, I'm certain we must have crossed paths sometime. I don't play an instrument, but I do play OP - Other People's music on KRCL. You go to the Targhee BG fest, or the one in Ogden?

We'll have to meet up sometime !

Phil
