CCV developed their own kit to my understanding. My van is sitting on dana 60 axles front and rear too. I have done a bit of research, cheapest method of getting a hightop installed appears to be driving the van to fibrine in CA. Cost of shipping a hightop to CO is roughly 1500.

First of all, congratulations on your purchase, that's a good looking van you got. In regards to the rack, a 24" top is considerably narrower at the top than the drip rails are. You will find that the rack hangs over the sides unless you narrow it.

Like Cyrull, I found a top in my local pick-a-part and installed it myself. Dirt cheap. Just had to wait until one of my local yards had the top I wanted.

Good luck on you project!

RenegadeOverland,
Really, a great-looking van! Thank for the info on local help, have contacted them, but heard nothing yet. It’s the start of the “ busy” season but I am patient. But, yeah....I really want to get this finished off with the things I need (solar), and some things I desperately want ( comfy bed!). There’s a ridiculously large bathroom in mine, not terribly well-designed. I’d have gone for the small marine set-up given the choice. But I have lots of ideas on how to “ fix” a lot of this so it will “ work” better for me. Sure hope he can deal with solar....That’s one I am afraid to touch....far too easy to mess up.
Thanks again,
ConnieKat

Thanks for all the encouragement! Due to time constraint I am seriously considering the drive to CA to get the high top installed. I have called a number local salvage yards out here with no success.

I don't have any real use for the rack at this point so i'd like to part ways with it. Extra car parts are difficult for me to store so I need to get rid of it ASAP.

IS the roof rack aluminum or steel? If you post some close up pics of it it might sell pretty quick. Likewise with the seats inside. I actually might be interested, but im in CA so you could drop them off when you come down

Not to try to entice you more, but there is a van here in socal at a pick a part with a 24" high top on it.

Search econolines. Looks like the ice cream man siren is still attached.

We use our own kit, 100% designed in house it is a coil set up not leaf. Similar to a Quigley or Timberline 4x4 system but we use johnny joints at the control arm brackets to set up the front suspension and get proper camber and toe in so it rides really nice.

So it's a 4 link coil? Interesting. What's the current cost for a 05 V10 with the 5R110? I'd really like to ride in a decent 4 link conversion, so far all the 4x4 vans I've been in have been stock quigleys which were less than impressive. If i could keep the feel of the camburg kit I have on now I'd be happy.

It honestly doesn't take much to make a stock quigley ride nice...

Our 4 link conversion with everything including wheels and tires out the door roughly 17,500.00 with out wheels and tires $14K
