We bought our 2006 Sportsmobile Sprinter in 2014 out of Austin. Had some modifications made that included 200 watts of solar, espar heater, platform and bench bed and an inverter. Took it on a 4 year road trip out of Juneau and decided to sell it in the spring of 2018. We spent 5 years in our Capri truck camper including a very cold and snowy 6 weeks in the SW this past winter.
The weather and the cramped quarters (who wants to sit outside in the snow in AZ? ) got us thinking about another Sprinter and possibly a Sportsmobile. The second van we saw on RV Trader was the one we sold to a couple in 2018. They flew to Seattle and drove it home to Georgia. The van had just over 10,000 additional miles on it this spring. It looked well taken care of aside for the bilstering of the wrap I had put on in New Mexico in 2017. That Georgia sun.
So, we bought our Sprinter back, flew to Athens in March and drove it home to the Olympic Peninsula. It's like having reunited with an old friend.
