Time for Another SMB

Back again. Found my first SMB via this forum in 2007. Bought a 1995 Dodge B3500 EB21 off eBay for the "buy it now" price of $7,600. It was 5:00 AM any I rousted my wife out of bed shouting, "Look at this! Look at this!" My wife took one look and said, "Oh for God's sake, will you just buy it already?" and went back to bed.


We sure had a lot of fun with the "hippie van" but in 2014 had a windstorm and a big walnut tree fell on it amidship in the driveway. Bought a 5th wheel at an auction house "recreational everything" auction and a cheap hailstorm truck to pull it with. But it just isn't the same as camping with the old Hippie Van.


Turned 59-1/2 a couple weeks ago. Going to buy another used SMB on January 1. Prefer a 4x4 this time. If the right bargain comes along in the meantime. . .well. . .got a 401(k) burning a hole in my pocket.

Welcome back! Once you've got the van bug, it never goes away. My stories on my van purchases have been similar to yours in that I talk so much about vans that my wife has succumbed to the "just buy it" mentality. I love her.
