Time to introduce myself

Hello,

I have been here messing around as i am sure some of you have seen and actually come to meet some cool guys local to me that I look forward to hanging out with. After being injured in 2009 I got a sweet 2011 F250 and made it a perfectly capable rig that I am sure I will regret selling but my wife and I recently had a boy 6 months ago so I needed more interior space for activities. So the van search began after realizing they could be just as cool as my then truck was.

Initially I had settled for a 2014 5.4l E350 2WD Passenger van from Newberg Ford with 3k miles after looking at their Quadvan options and realizing being local to Portland I could convert one for much cheaper. Well as much as my wife "loves" the van and the fact that its new, I decided after reading a ton on this forum that I needed something more "camperish", with less windows and more room. So after a lot of looking around and waiting I found a good deal on a 2008 Cargo Ext V10 E350 with 112k miles and decided to jump on it even though it has an Advanced conversion. So with that being said I am sure I will be on here alot more with questions and concerns about how to fix and repair this 2008 so it can become as awesome as most of the rigs I see on here!

and of course, pics or it didnt happen...

putting the other van back together so I can start working on the new one!

Thanks!

Nice! That's a good upgrade. V10 is a great motor.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the love. I am looking forward to putting together a build thread with stuff that I wish I could find. Nothing crazy but little information that seems to get looked over but it's gonna take a while as the barn garage ate up my sportsmobile fund ha ha.

Ya I was a little worried about the miles on the engine but after seeing the service the dealership did and talking to Carringb with his odometer reading, I felt comfortable purchasing it. I also got lucky and was able to talk to the PO about how he used it and it was taken care of so that was reassuring.

The advanced modifications are a little rough but it was a good enough price that I could afford to fix it up if need be.

Ha ha thanks, it's actually half gym/ half garage. Makes for some healthy times working on vehicles cause when things go south I can go rep some sets!

Thanks! We have horse stables across the road so we only have to see them when we want to without the cleanup.
