Vehicle Name Bullwinkle
Year 2003
Make Ford
Model E-350 EB
Color White
2003 Ford E-350 EB
History Poor Bullwinkle had a rough go of it at first. After just a few miles he was bought back by Ford Motor Company under the lemon law. After a new motor (7.3) and a new tranny and he was back in service. He had several owners and then 2008 happened. I bought him sight unseen the day after Thanksgiving 4 states away from my home. He has been a good boy ever since wracking up some serious number of dirt road miles.
Dirt roads, which are our life, do a number on the interior. Everything from clothes to spices come of the shelves. We've installed cargo stretch netting on all interior shelving to great benefit.

Mosquito netting with magnets sewn into the edge keeps the nights cool (no need for AC, ever).

An aftermarket high pressure take off from the propane tank allows us to use an outdoor propane stove which folds up quickly and goes behind the driver's seat.

7.3, need I say any more

Systems, Solar, & Electronics
Keeping it simple. To reduce headaches we don't have much in the way of electronics. There is no such thing as a microwave or hairdryer to support so our electrical demands are low.

The only real change we've made is the location of the house batteries. The undercarriage mount of the E-350 is completely inaccessible unless you've got a professional garage. We rewired the batteries to be under the rear seat where they can be worked on or tested without employing a hydraulic lift. No doubt there are safety violations here...
