History My van has gone through several changes since I ordered the van from SMB West in August of 2005. Additions and mods seem to never end.

The most repeated mods have been to the rear cargo box which changed several times over the years. I think I'm finally happy.
SMB electric penthouse top for ease in lifting was a must.
The most expensive mod was done when I added the Aluminess roof rack, solar, and LED off road lighting.
Modified Aluminess bumpers with Warn 12,000lb winch and Masterpull synthetic rope.
Standard awning and two Aluminess ladders.

Interior

Standard 50 interior with a 4CF fridge and microwave. I added a propane stove about 2012. Standard 18 gal water tank & sink. Shower wands rear and side. Espar cab and water heater.

Wheels, Tires, & Suspension

Standard SMB 4x4 conversion with Atlas II transfer case. Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 front axle & ARB front locker. Brakeman brake upgrade. Dynatrac ball joint upgrade. Full float Dynatrac 70 rear axle with limited slip differential.
Looking for a better ride, I had a modification done to the suspension system applying additional lift via the Deaver springs package. I also increased the tire height (315x75x16).

Under the Hood
The Ford 6.0 PSD was bullet proofed at 92K miles.
Cold air box.
XP-270 alternator.

Systems, Solar, & Electronics

The first Solara flat panels failed and I moved to two 135 watt glass panels and a MPPT solar controller. I also carry a portable flat panel that's rarely used. The solar charges the two 4D Lifeline house batteries by 10AM on an average day.
Xantrex 2000 watt Prosine inverter/charger.
Link-10 battery monitor.
Blue Sea 7622 separator & remote.

Favorite Destinations
2006 Ford 6.0 PSD E-350 EB (extended bed) 50 model Favorite Destinations
By far the central Sierra Nevada Range is my place of choice. The desert region around Death Valley is one of my favorite winter destinations.
My favorite OHV run is the Shuteye Peak Trail. The Mojave road ranks high on my list as a historical trail.

For more destinations I've been to see my web site located in my signature.

Nice job all around.

"Standard awning", that's SMB install? Are you happy with it ? Does it keep the rain out with side doors open? Any issues with it? Is there an aftermarket version ?

Cheers
