1989 Ford SMB Restoration - Before and After

Hi All, OK, I'm ready for my first post here. Just put the final touches on a complete restoration of our 1989 Ford SMB we aquired last year. (98,000 Miles) Attached a Before and After shot.
Learned a lot from reading posts here from everybody - Many Thanks!

Cheers!

Looks fantastic. I love that you more or less kept the original paint scheme.

Looks factory fresh. That must have been a labor of love for you.

Wow that looks really nice inside and out...
It looks very contemporary with the new paint...
Did you lay out the stripes and paint it yourself?
I have always liked the looks of the Third Gen Econoline's and you have made it even better...

Re: 1989 Ford SMB Restoration - Before and After

Hey Thanks! Yep - did all the sanding, layout, taping and masking - My friend did the actual spraying though as he has an aircraft restoration hanger with a paint booth big enough to fit the van in - barely.

Sanding was the worst - took FOREVER. Was so very glad to finally get it in the booth.

Thanks Again!

I've never seen a van with a bathtub before. Or is that a feeding dish for a very large dog?
