1993 Ford Econoline 250

Hi,

We are about to purchase a 1993 Ford Econoline 250 Sportsmobile with approx 62K miles, 2cf Norcold, propane, sureflo. Any particular issues to watch out for in this vehicle? Thanks.

Welcome to the site. I've got a 1995 E250 2wd with about 100k. We could kibitz about 100 different things but nothing special stands out in my memory about your new rig. Depending on how handy you are, most anything can be fixed.

I'd be most concerned about the Ford stuff. Get a good mechanic to check it out. Sounds like a nice, low mileage camper.

Please update your profile to let us know where you are.

As Bluedog mentioned, welcome to the group.

Feel free to ask any specific questions.

If the Norcold is original, it may be past its life expectancy. You might check to see how it works before you buy.

Open all the doors and drawers. Is it a penthouse or fixed top. If penthouse, how easy does it go up and down?

Regardless of year propane and CO detectors should be checked as they have (at least the CO) and expiration date. May need to be pulled from the wall to see the date.

Also we're gonna want photos!
