Looking at the van for a friend. 181k miles. Quigley conversion. Drives fine down the road. Noticed a clicking from front axle when backing up with wheels turned hard over. Coming from outside wheel I think. Anybody have any insight as to the cause. I’m not familiar with the joints at the ends of the axle. Could it be something related to the locking hubs.
Couple years ago I had a "clicking" that developed ONLY while backing up. Initially I thought is sounded like it was coming from the transmission or transfer case, Turned out to be the rear u-joint
