2006 E350 6.0 Engine Codes Problem Today

i did notice that both the tach and speedometer fail also when the wrench light comes on

Today removed the EDGE tuner on the 06 6.0 E350

all problems gone even the cruise now works Help Explain what was happening???

Removing the EDGE Tuner solved most of the problems on Codes and Cruise Control

We’ll for one, Edge products are hit or miss, mostly miss…..I had one on my 7.3 that almost left us stranded in Death Valley years ago, all sorts of stuff started going haywire, I ended up yanking it out and all was good.
Second, for anyone trying to get answers on this or any other forum to mystery issues that come up, having all of the related info is needed to properly diagnose or come up with possible solutions. Had we all known there was an Edge tuner in the mix, it certainly would’ve been a reasonable culprit. Glad you figured it out

Why?? Edge tuners are typically coded for the pickup trucks and not the vans. There are many differences.

If you really need/want a tune (is your 6.0 bullet proofed??) my call would be to Power Hungry to get info on what they have available for a 6.0 PSD Van.

Direct from Ward at PHP in May 2020:

Our books are currently closed for custom tunes. I would reach out to Gearhead for custom 6L tuning.

tunes for a 6.0 in a van:
innovative diesel = good tunes
blessed performance = good tunes if they could get the fan to activate
gearhead = okay...tow tunes only
quicktricksauto - best of the bunch...rumor is they are changing from sct to hypertech, so no tunes until the conversion is complete.
there are other shops, just haven't had them tune for our van.

what edge monitor do you have? CTS or CTS2 or CTS3 or other?
what has sometimes worked for other people is to update the monitor via the internet.
