7/8 inch receiver mount recovery shackle

Does anyone know where to buy one of these with a 7/8" shackle? They all seem to be 3/4.

Re: 7/8 inch receiver mount recovery shackle

My 7/8" shackle is rated at 6-1/2 tons (I think all 7/8" ones are) and I had to make up my own stinger for the receiver. Couldn't find one on the Internet. With a 10,000+ pound van, ya want the beefiest one you can find. I had a 3/4" one to start till Skywagon pointed out the error of my ways.

Re: 7/8 inch receiver mount recovery shackle

The Billet one at 11,000 is rated higher than the hitch you are sliding it into. You need to think about that not just the rating of the stinger. This is one of the reasons I use the ones built into my bumper not the reciever if you can. I also use a harness to hook to both the bumper shackles to even the load. I can't wait to finish the bumpers for the Van for this. I have Billet Alum. ones in 1" thick for the front and matching in steel for the rear. TMR makes them for me (he made the Aluminum Tie Rod for me too) and I have not had them fail on anything yet.
