Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been scouring the local adds for an SMB for some time now. I found a 99 ford , 7.3 diesel, 99k, 2wd. Penthouse top, SMB sofa bed, the rest of the interior homebuilt (nicely). I know the diesel can run forever, body seems straight, $15k. Anything I should look for? I think I am close to buying (now i need to figure out what to do with the 06 15 passenger chevy i bought two months ago - and how to tell the wife)
I'd recommend getting the VIN, and posting on a site such as TheDieselStop.com and ask for someone to run an Oasis report, which will list all factory repairs and warranty issues. There are quite a few Ford factory technicians on that site who generally are happy to run a report for you.
