A permanent screen solution

We have had the removable Sportsmobile door screen for a long time and rarely used it because of the trouble to take it on and off when we had to close the doors. I came up with a solution. I put half inch wide adhesive Velcro strip all around the door, and on the bottom of the wood frame of the top, with a few small staples to secure it in. The screen attaches on the inside, we can roll up the left side, and the right side tucks neatly inside When we are driving. When we get to camp, in about 15 seconds, even before we get out of the van, we are protected from bugs. No more bugs!

The next project, we are going to have the zippers replaced with magnets by a local shop.

Nicely done!!!

Question - is it possible to reverse the screens do the narrower panel you have the rear could be located by the passenger seat? Our build has a cabinet that extends partly into the 40 door opening.

I love the idea that remains in place when the doors are closed. This has been on our list of things to do for a while!

Sure, I don’t think it would be a problem since there is Velcro on both sides of the screen. Cheers

Permanent Screen Door.

Had two different designs that never met my needs so we really went PERMANENT. Love the door. YouTube video covering the build: https://youtu.be/rzkpk9xDO9s
