AC fitting thread repair?

The male threads on my AC cooler (99 Express 3500) are bunged up and I need to find a die that I can use to repair these threads. I've already tried O'Reilly and Car Quest and they only have a 5/8" size.

Anyone know where I can buy or rent a die that will repair these threads or even what size/pitch these are?

If there's anything left, you can try a thread file: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jawco-1-Nu-Thre ... 58&vxp=mtr

That looks like a male insert o-ring braze-on fitting. You *might* be able to heat that up and remove it, then braze on a new one. I went through a similar problem on my 98 Express 3500, but I had broken a connector completely off. I found new ones here:

There's several different sizes available, so you would have to look for exactly which one yours is, obviously.

Good luck!
