If you don't have this connector present its nearly impossible to install a factory VSC. Additionally finding the necessary parts would also be nearly impossible.

If you can't add factory VSC a company like Rosta would be a good choice for adding this feature.

Whats that long flat black connector for?

The portion with wiring intact is the actual connector that would be found on the vehicle. The other potion is a cap which has a clip that attaches to the inner fender to keep the wiring connector from flopping around if the VSC servo isn't installed.

The second image shows the cap installed on the connector.

Cool so since I have an 04 van id have to find a servo to go there too. Its weird that nobody has mentioned that in this thread yet. I found one from an 02 at a junkyard yesterday, it bolted in perfectly and ran to the throttle body so hopefully it works when I get my steering wheel and switches in

Hi everybody,
does anybody know if a cruise control of a 2004 6.0 Diesel could fit in a 2010 6.8 Triton?
The connector is in place.

If that works its somewhat miraculous as Ford is great for changing small bits of wiring in order to reduce parts compatibility as you're trying to accomplish. IIRC though the '01-04 MIGHT work---you'll have to install and connect it to know for sure.

If it doesn't you might find a NOS servo which won't be cheap or easy to find---there is a YouTube hack for such mismatches. Let us know.

The connector is in place.
Show us an image of the connector and where it currently resides.

That plug is NOT related to the VSC.

Just looked at all the wiring diagrams in alldata for '01, '02, and '04 vans cruise control. All pins in that connector that go to the servo under the hood are identical in all the years. Wiring is all the same. Havent tested it yet, but should work lol
