So its the same as mine. So your thinking is that the break light switch is what will disengage the CC and not the sensor? I thought it was the sensor that does it when the break is applied and pressure triggers the sensor to break the circuit. I could see it not working if there is no continuity. Looks like your plug is pretty corroded too.

Yes the ecu sees the brake lights at the pedal and turns cruise off..

Minor corrosion..shows it was used and not protected when abandoned..

You should be able to splice them together and it will work.

so got my clock spring today. I have the cruise controls that I got at a junk yard out of expedition cost me $2. Figure I plug it all together before I buy a new steering wheel and disassemble everything just to see if it works. So I reached under the dash and was able to disconnect the two clock spring connectors and connect the new one with out unscrewing anything. I connected the cruise controls to the clock spring and started the car. I was hopping that if I push the cruise control on button I would get the light. I did put it in drive but did not actually drive it. It could still be a number of things, I did not connect the ignition wires, still don't have the master cylinder sensor and it might need to be turned on at the dealer. So not giving up yet but was hoping to have a clear signal that this will work at this point

Mine didn't light till I pushed on and then SET...does light below 30..doesn't engage below 35.

Jump that master with a splice if it doesn't come on.

master cylinder switch is a normally closed connection, that brakes with pressure. so if it is not plugged in, then CC shouldn't activate.

bridged the connector but still no go. I think it might be also that the ingition connection of the clock spring is not connected. Like I said did not full install the clock spring just connected it with the two main connectors. I full committed today by ordering a steering wheel When I get that I will swap out everything and keep my fingers crossed that it works.

This connector??
Only the red blue and green wires actually run the cruiae/horn...other 2 are airbag and plug in a different socket..

So the brown connector to the buttons no matter if its on the wheel should activate the cruise,..

Mine works by pressing on...then accel...the light then comes on and it works..

got my new steering wheel with controls today. Swapped out the clock spring and installed new wheel. Pretty easy to do.

I have the break sensor connect to the wiring but not connected to the break line.

I have new clock spring

New steering wheel with controls

But no cruise control so looks like I will be paying (literally) a visit to the dealer.

Any thing else I should check ??
