$170 for glass and install for aftermarket glass. $195 for one stamped Car-Lite (might be logo’d only but has worked fine)
Those prices are here in San Francisco if I bring the van to them.

imho, $495 (plus tax??) is way too high unless it includes a nice lunch w/ wine, and a full body massage while you wait the hour and half for them to install the windshield AND detail the van.

Thanks 1der I gotta good chuckle out of that I will use your pricing on my hunt ! I don’t know how they can maintain a business charging double like that ,seems they have been taking advantage of less informed .

Ps -my seat swivel and door talon have made my van adventures quite comfortable .thanks for delivering them personally

Hey, $495 sounds crazy expensive to me too — I ended up going with a highly-rated independent local glass guy. He used Carlite glass and it ended up being around $250 I think.

For this price, he also included a lifetime warranty on workmanship (any water leaks or wind noise) and against any manufacturer flaws. Been super happy with the quality of repair and glass.

Edit/Side note — I got several other quotes for about half what this guy charged, but they were all using unbranded glass and seemed sketchy on my kind of warranty.

The fellow I went with told me that the glass he used (Carlite) was the best-available replacement glass. He also mentioned that it’s getting harder to find...he seemed apprehensive that the stock of quality windshield replacement glass might dwindle at some point before too long.
