Aluminess Light Mount Search

Here's what I've found:
Black Rhino Mounts for 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 inch tube

and
PIAA Small Mounts for 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inch tube
PIAA 2.5" Mounts for 2-1/2 inches only

I'm looking to put these on the aluminess front bumper tube which is ~1-7/8".

I need to either stretch the black rhino mounts or build up the diamater for the 2.5" PIAA mounts, or find some ~2" mounts. Anyone have other options?

Yes. Motolights used to make motorcycle driving lights that mounted to the front forks. I actually kept a set of mounts to use for off-roading. Stout alumn base that secures with clamps (hose type clamps incorporated into the base). I can shoot you a pic this evening if you like (assuming I can locate them). Tomorrow is shop cleaning day (also front wheel bearing repack, U-joint replacement and water pump install day). Sure to locate the mounts while cleaning up the shop, if I can't quickly find them tonight.

On my list of projects (yes, a long list) I was going to try to spec the right size collar from these guys and make up some light mounts. One of many project I haven't gotten to yet.

I'll be interested to see what you come up with.

I really like the PIAA, they look durable and thick enough to actually support lights. I just wish they came in a closer size.

Jage have you tried Aluminess? I just talked to Dave Hoskins Friday and he has clamps that will hold a hi-lift jack on the front bumper. Maybe he has something for lights.

This is what Aluminess has these:

But at $75 each even with their offer to modify I'm not interested. Imagine, I didn't like the idea of what these would do to the lines of the bumper if mounted backwards...

Also I found out- the weird size is because they use pipe, not tube. Pipe is ID not OD and different sizes too boot.

Jage,
Why not just drill through the tubing, use some Grade 5 or 8 coated bolts and nuts. Should look clean.

or mount them lower like I did.

Here's what I came up with. It actually works pretty well despite being such a hack. Went offroading for 2 days and they stayed right were they were.
