It's a home built trailer with a roof top tent.

Nice looking trailer. Besides the tent how is it setup?

Nice combo, Millerfish. Did you build it?

Re: Annoying to "break camp" every time you want to drive?

We opted to get a small Suzuki four-wheel-drive which we tow when we are camping. It works well for traveling around. We only tow it on pavement and good gravel roads. When the going gets rough, we disconnect and drive both rigs on the bad four-wheel-drive roads.
Of course, when we are towing the drift boat or raft and canoe trailer, we can't take two rigs.
However, we've found that the canoes or sea kayak or the raft will fit on the Suzuki and it acts like a boat trailer.

Thanks loren85022. You set up is way cool... I was looking at using a utility bed but was trying to stay on a low budget with the build. Now that I am sure I like the idea of a small trailer and RTT I may be building a nicer rig.

Thanks. I'll have to go through your old threads to get more info on both of your trailers.

But do either of you know your trailer's weight? Only wondering cause if it's light enough, my Accord might be able to pull something like it. The Accord can't tow typical pop-up trailers.

Re: Annoying to "break camp" every time you want to drive?

My wife and i asked the same questions after several years of camping out of various rigs and "setting up" camp. After several attempts we have arrived at a compromise that is working wonderfully for us. About 4 seasons ago we (as i write i'm 55 years young) migrated away from the idea of needing to engage the 4x4.

We ended up with an AWD van we had professionally converted in stages with some sweat equity in the mix also. BUT two seasons in the "Class B" van that could do it all inside and out, we were still bent out of shape when we would invariably get stuck loading up soggy kitchen tents and accessories due to living in the beautiful, yet soggy, Pacific Northwest. So we broke down...
Sold all the outside gear except basically one aluminum table and two strongback chairs. And purchased a beautiful little 15ft fiberglass trailer. We still sleep in the van (a master suite on wheels) and then entertain/cook/shower in the trailer. Set up / Take down time? ~2 minutes? We still can go to any of the forestry camps we've come to enjoy as the rig still turns a U-Turn in the same ~45 feet and is very maneuverable.

arguably one of the nicest little kitchen tents in the forest : )

Oh, and driving... we unhook the van and head up the forestry road...

~18 miles up Forestry road 28, Mt.Rainier Wa.

Nice looking setup. What type of roof rack is that with the surfboards?
