Anyone have Forscan in Los Angeles?

Hey everyone. I want to disable the annoying “welcome lights” in my 2010 E-350 pass van. Does anyone in Los Angeles have Forscan who is willing to help me out? Thanks!

It’s my understanding that disabling the “welcome lights” prevents the exterior lights from illuminating each time a door is opened. I’ve added a switch to override the interior dome light which I will detail in another thread. Removing the bulbs of the exterior lights is not an option.

Thanks for the link Martinli, I will use your instructions once I can get my hands on Forscan. The problem is that I don’t own a PC or an OBD Link so I have no way to run Forscan. Was hoping to enlist the help of someone in town and use it as an excuse to chat vans as well!

Bringing this one forward as I have some stealth camping coming up and would love to get the exterior lights shut off!

Can dealers do this too? Recently got a 2011 and the “feature” bugs me.

From what I’ve discovered in my research, no. Forscan enables more programming options than the software the dealers have.

Good gosh.....forscan.....once I get my hands on forscan..... I mean wow either the marketing team had zero sense of humor or an incredible one. Sorry back to your regular programming....
