At Least One Said No to “Van Life”

Finally an article not glamorizing “van life”. Sounds like he didn’t really give it a shot though...

At Least One Said No to “Van Life”

Despite the fact that he says he “covered van life” for over a year, he clearly hasn’t the first clue about it. He repeatedly calls the Porta Potty a “composting toilet.” Articles like this are actually good IMO because they scare off the poseurs that just are in it for the Instagram photos. They may sound elitist, but really... if he can’t cut it in a loaded Sprinter for two nights then vanlife really isn’t for him.

And anyway, who picks Philly in January to try out vanlife anyway? I live here and that’s just kinda stupid.

I read the article: Typical bull$hit whiny lil' bitch blogger... city dweller that never camped a day in his life, so he rents a van in the dead of winter with the intention to write and article, oh boy! I contend he set out to write about how much this sucks... greaaaaaaaaat...

Someone please take this gender neutral person's mancard and burn it, to stay warm of course, dump the ashes down the porta-potty, since he couldn't figure out how to do that for himself. Then scold his parents <eyes rolling>

If one looks up the authors name, Frank Olito, according to his bio he has written articles forABC News, The Boston Globe, RyanSeacrest.com, and Daily Burn. It appears he is a prolific writer mostly focusing on alternative housing and celebrities. A quick skim over his other articles leads me to believe the Van article is consistent with his shtick.

Hard to hold back all I'd like express about the Author - WHAT AN IDIOT.
It's a good bet he feels defeated in just about anything he's ever attempted - absolutely NO common sense. All his annoying whining aside, How is it possible to feel overwhelmed by the cold for 3 days, yet never think to turn the key and run the engine???

That was a funny read. I like the part where he got to a campground and then took an uber into the city for his activity of the day... I am not sure he understands what camping actually is.

Yet he's now more successful due to people clicking on the link. In this day and age, quality and content are secondary to getting another click.

Also, have you seen American Dad! "The Long March", season 14 episode 8? Two of the characters live VanLife and become influencers.

Self important people thinking they're going to write as the expert after a few minutes experience. Sad to say but it happens everywhere.
