I hate to hear it but it's the inevitable path successful small businesses often take. I'm sure the Aluminess family (can't remember their last name ATM) will retire early and well.

I agree especially here in California. Hopefully it won't affect Fieldvan's production.

I wonder how this affects the Econoline offerings? Sprinters/Transits/Jeeps are not going away anytime soon. I hope BesTop Accountants don't look at the $$ and quit on the aging Econoline market that would surely suck.

Huh…..well, Bestop certainly knows what they’re doing, at least when it comes to tops. Good thing there’s some other bumper options for us, just checked out UJoints rear bumper offering at the new shop out here, looks to be very well made.

Coincidently I had called Aluminess yesterday to ask about lead times for Econoline bumpers (before seeing this thread). The person I talked to said they were expecting Early to mid-Januray for both front and rear bumpers. I guess in the context of this though it doesn't mean much, other than they aren't gone yet.

They have been pretty busy over the last few years with acquisitions. Aluminess Products (July 2021) Precision Designs (DBA sPOD) (June 2021) Marshall Genuine Products (May 2021) Softopper (June 2019) Bull Accessories (February 2019) Kamm Industries (February 2018) Tuffy Security Products (August 2016) Baja Designs (June 2016) Morris Motor Company (January 2016)
I don't think the offerings for the Eseries market will be impacted by this. That is already being done by the popularity of other vehicles they support.
