BFG KO2 Tires // Fuel Efficiency

Hey there!

I'm going to be a new 4x4 sprinter owner in December (so excited) and I had a question that I couldn't find an answer for via google. I was hoping you all could help!

Does anyone know the difference in fuel efficiency between stock tires and the BFG KO2's?

Thanks!

Hogasm - you can fit 305s on a sprinter?

Nope just saying that the BFG's got 1mpg less than the Nitto Terra Grapplers did on my 97 E350

Oh ok. I was gonna say I wanna see it ha ha.

Btw back to the post - I also have the BFG KO2s and I really like them. Not too loud and I've had solid traction on every surface I've been on, haven't been on snow yet so I can't say anything about that.

Went from Toyo Big Country MT's to KO2's for better mileage, less noise, smoother ride, so far so good.. Really quiet, tow's the trailer much better.

I have BFGs I love them, it all boils down to the rotating mass and weight of the tire, the lighter the better, the stiffer the better.

Thanks everyone! Super helpful. I'm pretty sure I'll end up on them.

We have the KO2 on a 2wd sprinter and everything about them is better than the stock continental vancos that came with the van.
Handles well, quiet enough, decent traction.
We kept stock size so the computers would get upset, and a 2wd sprinter will run into traction issues way before clearance issues in my expierence.
Getting the van aligned (@18,000 miles) helped too.
Sprinters can be very out of alignment as delivered.
I made the dealer check and fix it for free.

I'd recommend the KO2.
