Build or Buy (used)?

Can you get what you want used?

Any regrets forking out the $$$ for a new SMB?

Just a general request for opinions...

build or buy

I bought new and got exactly what I asked for.
If I had any regrets it would be that for the money I could have had a pretty nice Class "A."
But then I'd've lost the versatility my SMB gives me. :? :

Bought ours new, so far is evreything we hoped it would be plus more. Looked for about 6 months for a used one, but couldnt find anything that was near what we wanted. We didnt want the propane and water, which most of SMB have.
So went with a pretty basic unit. Just have the dinette/bed, closet, pantry, microwave and refrigerator. We have lots of storage under the dinette area. Being former tent campers for 35 years this is luxury for us.

Buy Used First and then buy a new one

I've had a blast Modding my current Sporto.
I actually spent the extra amount I saved doing what I wanted to do.

If I do decide to upgrade, I would have Sportsmobile do the basics: Penthouse, 4x4 plus suspension, the Gaucho, Dynatrac (maybe) or Dana Pro-Rock 60
And then do the rest myself: Bumpers, Cabinets using Azek, Stove, 4CF Fridge, all the A/V Toys, etc
