I have the Danhard 12v only, rear A/C unit in my MY2000 Ford SMB. For some reason the lines from the Danhard unit were disconnected from the Ford A/C system and coiled under the van, and the fittings were left uncapped(what is with leaving fittings uncapped under the van, at least wrap them in electrical tape!!) I have attached a pic of the hoses and fittings. They are pretty crudded up. I have spoken with Mark(great resource!) over at Danhard to help me figure out what all I would need to get the system hooked back up and I am good there. Just need to get some new O-Rings. His biggest concern was dirt/water that could be in the hose lines that are sitting under my van, uncapped. Has anyone, that has had to reattach their Starcool/Danhard systems, cleaned/flushed out their hoses in anyway? I found a local hose shop that will replicate the hoses I have(for $$$) but if I could just flush out and clean my existing hoses that would be preferred. However, I do not want to introduce any dirt/debris/water into my perfectly good and working Ford AC system so I may just get new lines made.
Thoughts/Tips?
