Re: Change in Administration

^agree with Phil.

I do find it ironic that some of those that complained in this thread do not have a donation coin next to their name.

Thank you Jeremiah for many great years of your service and dedication! I have gotten so much out of this site. Many thanks.

To the admins, thank you for your hard work over the years. Great job!

Andy, welcome. I look forward to getting many more years out of the site. I look forward to your contributions. Thank you in advance.

I had a coin, I think it expired/disappeared.

My point is the new site owner doesn't need to espouse enthusiasm for Sportsmobiles (or Class B RV's, or kayaking, or Royals, or Jeeps, or Cruisers, Trawlers, Maxums, Touaregs, Camaro's, Mustang's, Crosstrek's.... or any of the 47+ forum sites he owns).

He doesn't own an SMB, doesn't drive a SMB... what matters is what he is going to do with the forum.

It is no different than Facebook, just at a smaller scale. Zuckerberg doesn't have to like the cat videos I post on Facebook, or post his own cat videos, but if the site continues to make an acceptable trade of free features to users in exchange for him being able to grow and invest in his platform, that's fine for most people. Call me cynical.

Re: Change in Administration

Thanks Jage, and also to all the others that have shared their knowledge. This has been (and I expect will continue to be) a great resource for owners (and, like me, former owners).

Re: Change in Administration

I'm finally able to get on the forum after being on the road for a few days. I was wondering why my automatic contribution to the forum was turned off at PayPal. Jage, thank you so much for your heroic effort in creating and sustaining this wonderful forum. It has been a pleasure getting to know you through this forum. I wish you well. I also hope the spirit of the forum does not change with the new former owner.

Re: Change in Administration

Jeremiah, many thanks for the energy you putted in this forum, to make it alive first, then to maintain it. I've previously done that for other forums and I know how much it resquests.

Hope you can now enjoy your time for more camping, for your family and friends.

Re: Change in Administration

Jage, thanks for building something great that and I do hope that it continues to be great. Time will tell. This sort of thing should be fun and if youve been burdened by it then by all means you shouldn't feel guilty handing over the reins. Andy, you've got some shoes to fill and some expectations to meet without a doubt. Here's hoping you'll get a fair shake and that you will make good on it.
