It takes a little more time, but I have no trouble cleaning underneath with a long-reach car wash brush. Because of the extra time, I usually only do the roof about every 3rd wash.
I believe in the miraculous sealant powers of natural dirt and don't do the roof.
Now that's just plain funny.

I'm thinking Raptor liner (or similar product) will need to budgeted as part of the upgrade. I would hate to spend the cash on the custom roof rack, just to discover two years later that it is destroying the top due to neglect...
You might be shocked at the number of Contractor's vans I see with moss on the roof with about a 3" perimeter that, along with the rest of the van, seems to get washed regularly.
