Comprehensive Insurance Coverage - EAST COAST

Greetings --

Searching - asking for suggestions on SMB owners having "vintage" SMB's in the 2000 - 20003 model years - and who provides insurance coverage for your rig ? At a "stated" value or "agreed" value ?

Trying not to be biased on my rig - but with under 20,000 actual miles and approximately $ 7,000 in mechanical - suspension - and brake - upgrades - I'm feeling my insurance carrier is not covering me adequately. In the event of a total loss accident - I would be upside down or deep in the "loss column" to replace it.

Any "East Coasters" out there with a good - reasonable - insurance agency - that had agreed to a "stated" or "agreed value" please chime in and respond if you've had a good or very bad experience on coverage/premiums - and come out of it "upside down" or in a big loss outcome. Hopefully there won't be anybody that has been essentially "wiped out."

Thanks in advance -

Contact Justin Gennock at Safeco insurance. He knows these vans and will set you up with a stated value policy.

I rolled my 2000 7.3L fully built SMB and was paid out stated value with no questions asked. They are an honest and ethical company.

Is your van a 7.3L with 20k actual miles? If it is built out and clean I would go for a stated value of $120k if they will write the policy. At a certain threshold they will require you to have an appraiser come out and confirm your stated value is accurate.

It's not my van, but I have stated/agreed value coverage on my motorhome through Progressive because of a wheelchair lift that added significant value. It was handled over the phone but the value wasn't in the same range as your's.
