Conversion weight

Hi folks, a search didn't turn up anything helpful. I'm researching a SMB build on a Ford Transit chassis. Long Body, Extended length, Single Rear Wheel. I'd like to have the option to tow with it and want to make a, somewhat, educated guess before going to SMB about the right chassis/powertrain. Is it safe to assume a converted van adds about 2000lbs to the base vehicle weight?

I realize the number could go either way depending on options and such, but I'm trying to find a middle ground for research purposes. Thanks.

The curb weight of my 2016 4wd 144” Sprinter van is listed at 5,897 lbs. Built out in the 50 configuration with a pop top, the van weighed 8,220 lbs when it rolled out the SMB door. It weighs more now with all of the extras I have added...
