Cover/replace outside vents?

Has anyone found an off-the-shelf cover plate to cover up the vents that SMB puts through the van body, and also through the floor? I’m replacing the original house batteries with AGM and have removed the battery boxes SMB installed to make more room and a tidier area underneath the gaucho. Id like to remove the outside vents and also plug the two holes through the floor from the old battery boxes.

Might consider retaining the vents. Please check the following:

I did consider and decided against it. In any event, I certainly don’t need two right next to each other.

Maybe a stainless drain cover and rubber gasket could keep air and critters out? For the bottom maybe expansion plugs?

Following up, to plug the holes underneath I found that 1-1/4” PVC plugs fit perfectly. For the outside vent I took some gorilla tape and made a sort of two-sided patch that fits under the existing vent to at least keep the dust and hopefully rain out. I will put screen on the other vent to keep bugs out. At some point I may use one of the vent holes for an external shower access point.

Nice fix! I like cheap, simple and reversible.

Maybe put a solid gasket under the vents?
