Penthouse T Bolts! We need 2 more orders to get the next batch going. My welder is requesting we get 5 orders per batch.
These bolts are to replace the leak-prone bolts that SMB uses to attach the top to the latches and padded blocks.
They are made by welding a fender washer directly to the allen head bolt to create one sealing surface rather than the SMB washer stack. The T bolts are inserted from above.
In this configuration the nuts will be on the inside. All bolts are the same length and need to be trimmed with a dremel or similar tool after installation. If desired, you can use the SMB rubber caps again on the inside on all but the 4 nuts securing the pull down handles.
Seal the outside washer with butyl tape or caulk.
Included in each kit for $130 are 11 T bolts, plus nylock nuts and flat washers for inside. All hardware is 316 Stainless Steel.
$15 extra charge for polishing. Not necessary at all, especially since they’re on the roof but I’ll do it before shipping if you’d like. My welder was not interested in polishing them. See last photo for polished/unpolished.
