We usually go camping at least once or twice a month. However, in the winter it might be once a month.
Does having our Ford Diesel in the garage for a month sitting idle affect the Diesel fuel? Does it deteriorate?

Diesel isn't nearly as volatile as gas. And even gas can sit for 6 months or so in a garage. Should be no problem.

Industry says you can store it up to 6 months without bio-killers or worrying about filtering to remove water condensation. If in doubt, toss in some additive and mix 1:1 with fresh and use it.
My understanding is that all you really need to do is keep the tank as full as possible to avoid any condensation in the fuel tank. I also add Motorcraft cetane additive in the winter. Cheap insurance.
