Does anyone know what this is?

This was laying in the floor under the drivers seat of our 2004 e350 smb. It’s connected to the wiring, but wasn’t on the seat base. I couldn’t find a place where it should mount. It looks like some kind of sensor. Thanks for any help.

Pure guess, but for a seat belt pre-tensioner?

Is it for a power seat that you don't have? Also, I seem to remember there being a box under the driver's seat that controls keyless entry or something like that on some years. How option'd (loaded) is your van?

It has power locks, cruise, tilt, ac, but no power seat.
It’s pretty small gauge wire for a power seat though. There is a box under there, but this thing is separate, unless it’s some kind of antenna for the power locks.

.....Power seat connector....plugged into a dummy connector to keep it clean....unplug it.......it'll be obvious...

There are two conductors ..+12V and ground...always on....convenient if you want to use it to power something.

I used mine for a power driver's seat that I bought from jsweezy...of course the 2009+ seats have a square connector..a few mods and it's all good.

Thanks for the kind words, but I have nothing to add as I can't positively identify that connector, but it sounds like the question has been answered.
