Does SMB do conversions of Sprinters from outside USA?

In the past they have converted owner owned vehicles brought in to them but I would give SMB a call and discuss your situation with them.

I don't think SMB will be the problem, you'll be wanting SMB Texas for that. Be sure Norway will allow the import. AndrewST is from Switzerland, markus from Norway, and saabman from Sweden, as I think nalle09 is as well.

Maybe we need an international section, I probably missed some!

Welcome on board.
For your conversion, living in Norway, I would check Germany.
They have companies doing very good job and might end up cheaper.
And they have spinter for long time...

I am on travel now, as soon I get back ( 1 week) I will send you some links.

Importing a sprinter to the USA will cost you 25% in taxes (its called the chicken tax) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_tax thats why sprinters are built in Germany, taken apart, then shipped to NC and reassambled. look what ford does to save the tax http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125357990638429655.html

Living in Norway, if he want's to travel to the US with his Sprinter, he can without paying any tax for up to one year (lenght of time to be confirmed).
