eco-friendly?

Hi,

Any vanners out there with real wood interiors?
If so, where did you ge this done?
I am concerned about particle board and out gassing.
Any suggestions on how to make my SMB van "eco-friendly" on every level?
It will be going into the SMB production line in 3 weeks.

Wait, run that by me again, did you just use the term "eco-friendly" in connection with a vehicle that gets how many MPG?

How did you do the custom interior? Do you have a sink, holding tanks, propane system, and if so did you install it all?Could you send any photos?

Yes I have all that stuff and I did it myself. YOu could just come over to my house and check it out. I live in mission canyon.

There is always the "stealth climber" van.

The better thing you can do (IMHO) is buy diesel and run it biofuel and heated veggie oil. And get the 6.0 Diesel because that's what I have and I need someone to pioneer this for me.

I would think there are a host of other things, considering you're probably going to be building your own- there was some discussion of composting toilets awhile back. You can use it as a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle vehicle. And add some solar panels and go off the grid.

Speaking of building the interior yourself, which I think is probably necessary to get all wood, you're probably going to have a much smaller eco-footprint by doing everything but the pop-top yourself, even if you employed the same materials SMB would.

Meanwhile I'll get the bumperstickers ready:

Even better than biodiesel is to just remove the engine entirely and rely on raw horsepower:

You might have to scale this concept up to two horsepower for a larger van.
