Equipment placement in EB50

Hey guys,
What is located to left of the rear bench on the floor in an EB50? In the wheel well area. I'm trying to find out for my home build what would be the best use of that space. It seems like it would be hard to access the area when it's all done so I'm assuming some piece of equipment maybe? Or water tank?
Thanks! Pictures are always great too!

Re: Equipment placement in EB50

Mine currently has some ducting for my Espar air heater running through there. Prior to the ducting I had a few random things in there......extra towels, a tarp, jacket, cleaning supplies - stuff I didn't need very often, because it was a little difficult to access quickly.

Might be a good place for electronics?

Re: Equipment placement in EB50

We put a bin in that area with an inset lid. The lid is about 3" below the top of the bench seat. There is a lot of space in the bin. We store seldom used stuff in the bottom of the bin and the collapsible trash can goes in on top. We can have a duffel bag or pair of shoes on top of the lid while we travel. And we throw all sorts of stuff in that cubby when camping.

I have considered putting an open shelf above this area to use as counter space when camped, but it would be in front of the window.

Re: Equipment placement in EB50

Thanks for the replies. I'm thinking I may leave it as an open space and just cram in there whatever I can. I have most of the electronics located in other places or at least a plan for them. One idea was to have a shelf there that can lift out to access the area below.
I keep referring back to your van pictures dhally as I really like the layout. I'm hoping to have something along those lines.
