diesel engines cost alot of money in matienance. Money that can be used for gas.

If you can find a good condition 7.3 in your budget id hop all over it. Dont get a 6.0 unless you are okay with spending 5k and up on making it dependable,

Get a diesel if you like smelly loud vans. Or get a v10.

I'm super happy with my v10. A close friend managed to find a low mile, well kept 7.3 (2wd) turtle top with correct, low rear end gearing. I have serious engine envy over that thing. They are however not easy to find these days.

Oh man, now I'm depressed, evidently my van is the worst possible combination, an RB with a 6.0.

No, seriously, I know my combination isn't for everyone.

Let's please not go down the gas vs diesel path again.

When it comes to cool factor aka before I had my son, I would have gotten a diesel RB. But now that I'm in practical land, it's v10 EB.

RB helps a bit with the 100 point logging road turn around.

It's the same with an EB, just hang the butt over the cliff. As a bonus then the winch is already facing the right way.
