And my wife would be saying “let me drive”!
BTW, I have a bit over 20k on the Falken’s, like them much better than the KO2’s they replaced at 40k.

I seem to remember getting a pick of your van in a similar pose at the RawHyde event a couple of years ago... I also think she was driving.

Glen,
I believe this is the picture you are recalling. Laura was driving, you were riding shotgun (can't see you in the shadows), and I was spotting. The picture doesn't really show the perspective, but the passenger's side front wheel of our "tripoding" Sprinter was about 4' off the ground.
Look at her face, now that's a woman having fun!

Got the tires.. now pressure?
Hey guys, I got the Falken's. They're beautiful and run super quiet on the freeway (which I learned on the short drive home from the tire shop.) So now it's on to a question I'm sure you all have all kinds of thoughts about: pressure.
1. If I've got a Chevy 2500 4.8L with a CCV poptop, homebrew kitchen, a hundred pounds of gear or so, and usually three humans and small dog, what's a good pressure to run for normal highway driving? With my old non-AT tires I did 55 front/80 back. The tire people recommended 58 front / 65 back for these Falkens but I don't totally trust them.
2. What PSI should I deflate to for driving in snow?
3. In sand?
THANKS

How much does the van weigh? At what pressure do you get the TPMS warning?
You might try 45-50 up front. You might could try 60 in the back. Hard to say without knowing the above. My van, 3500, gets the TPMS below 45 and 65.
I’ve seen 30/35 front/rear recommended for sand and deep snow.

I have a set of Wildpeak AT3s on my Promaster 136. Not the gnarly vehicle like the pictured Sprinter but I can say they were very helpful last winter during a Colorado snow storm. When nearing Page at 32 outside, alternating between snow and rain with ice on the road the van held the road well. Best, Doug

instead of guessing tire inflation, use the value for the tire + manufacturer.
for the process below, you will need the weight for each axle. if you don't know, find the closest CAT scale to weigh the van - https://catscale.com/cat-scale-locator/
1. goto this website and select the "load inflation" button
https://www.falkentire.com/tires/care-safety-warranty
2. find the tire on the left.
3. take the front axle weight, divide by two (for 2 tires) and find the tire pressure.
4. take the rear axle weight, divide by two or four (for two or four tires) and find the tire pressure
we choose a pressure slightly above the listed pressure as a buffer.
hope this helps.

Update: We're in Colorado and it's been dumping and those tires are biting like wolverines into the snow and ice. I'm super happy! Times I would've been gritting my teeth and installing chains and still not super comfortable I'm now, with these tires, feeling pretty dang solid
