Fixed Top: Cruiser / Cruiser II
I want a top like this on my DIY build, so I've been looking around the 'Net for manufacturers. Surprisingly (at least to me), finding a top like is is very difficult, as most are a lower version (Voyager).
I think I read somewhere that Fiberine used to make the Cruiser tops for Sportsmobiles? And then they were discontinued but are being made again as Cruiser II?
Here's the top pictured on SMB's website:
And here's the page where I saw the "Super Camper" top on Fiberine's website:
http://www.fiberine.com/GVMR/Full_Size_Van_Tops.html
Click on the photo on that page (2nd row, 1st pic) for a bigger view.
I'm guessing this is pretty much what I am looking for!!
I am waiting on an email response from them to my initial email asking a few questions. Hopefully they sell to end users because they're not exactly local to me....

Re: Fixed Top: Cruiser / Cruiser II
just a pondering...
My wife and i dropped off our express RB at Van Specialties in Portland this week to have the 24" Fiberine Bubble top put on the van.
24" bubble top
Visualy i do like the front overhang look of the cruiser tops though as you know they are not available for RB...only the EB length. Anyway, and my point, there was a nice ford EB in the VS shop with the same 24" top we are getting and it looked very aerodynamic and sharp. I was told the Super Camper and older Crusier 1&2 tops were 32" tops? I've seen them around, they do look mighty tall. ? . imo.
best wishes on whatever you get.

Re: Fixed Top: Cruiser / Cruiser II
Could you put an EB cruiser top on an RB van and have it set up like a class C rv with the top extending out over the hood?

Re: Fixed Top: Cruiser / Cruiser II
Dave, Sorry if I'm Hi-jacking but I've been lurking a little while and trying to pick up as much info. from you guys as I can. I am at the same point, trying to decide between the "Super Camper Top" or the "Bubble Top".
The Bubble Top has enough headroom to walk around but really cramped if you want to sleep up in the Top. Seems OK for a night or two, but for an extended stay it could get old quick.
Now, is it possible that anyone lives close to me in South Orange County, CA. I've seen the Bubble Top on a van and poked my head inside, but would really like to check out a Cruiser Top.

Re: Fixed Top: Cruiser / Cruiser II
You know, the raised, fixed roofs grow on me more an more each day, but at the same time, every time I look at one I wonder if it will eventually end up being turned into an ice cream truck selling Bomb Pops and Creamsicles out on the street.
