I have vented sealed battery boxes next to my inverter under the port side couch.Its a pain to unscrew the lids to check water levels.While you can tilt the cushion up, it makes the space too tight to use a screwdriver to undo the screws. I may just convert to a platform bed with a custom mattress.

they use agm batteries now. no maintenance. the only time you have to get at them is when they need to be replaced.
